Daf Intro

a. In daf ס''ד in מסכת פסחים begins with the contradiction between two בראייתות regarding the איסור of שחיטה על חמץ when a כהן burns the fats, or does מליקה while owning חמץ at the time of שחיטה. b. There is a lone משמה describing the entire process of bringing the קרבן פסח, and the גמרא points out many principles in הלכה learned from this process. c. Key terms and concepts: 1. מליקה - Is the severing of the bird form from behind its neck can only be done on the מקדש. 2. שחיטה בזר כשרה - Is the concept that a non כהן may שחט a קרבן, but the remainder עבודה, and further must be done by a כהן. 3. ברב עם הדרת מלך - Having lot of people in עבודה is a greater honor to השם. 4. אין מעבירין על המצוות - We should not pass on an opportunity to do a מצווה.
